Applications for Lifeline BatteriesLifeline batteries are proven in use across the USA and UK in applications as varied as long distance cruising yachts to frontline emergency ambulances and army tanks to remote power plants. Application Note 1: Lifeline Engine Start Series batteries produce considerably higher CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) than a standard lead/acid cell. Therefore, on applications such as sailing yachts and specialist vehicles, we are able to remove the existing large engine battery and replace with our micro sized GPL-1400T engine starter. The additional room saved can then be used for a larger services battery bank. Application Note 2: Lifeline are safe for use in human occupied compartments. Therefore, you can now install battery banks under berths or at the bottom of cupboards without the build up of noxious and explosive gas. Application Note 3: Many modern vehicles are now fitted with alternators controlled by the engine management system. The fitting of blocking diodes (for split charging) and alternator regulators (for vehicles with 2 battery systems) is not permitted by vehicle manufacturers. Because Lifeline charge 30% faster than other batteries, a simple relay based split charge system can be fitted and no alternator controller is required. What’s more, the Lifeline acting as the 2nd battery can be simply placed under a seat or in a human occupied part of the vehicle.
