Product Range - Lifeline Technology
Lifeline Batteries are the highest quality AGM Batteries available today. Each and every one of these world class batteries is built by hand in the United States. For the past 15 years, Lifeline Battery has been a leader in research, development and production of sealed lead acid batteries for the US Navy and US Air Force. Their current Lifeline Battery series is designed for marine, specialist vehicle, UPS, inverter stand-by and photovoltaic applications in order to correct many of the shortcomings of sealed gel batteries. Lifeline AGM battery construction maintains the sealed aspects of gel batteries while reducing their chronic recharge sensitivity. In addition, Lifeline AGM Battery technology increases Amp-Hrs., Cranking Performance, Reserve Capacity, Depth of Cycle and Cycle Life over gel technology.
Warning! All AGM batteries aren’t the same! Over the last few years, a number of low cost AGM batteries have entered the market. However, comparing them to Lifeline is rather like comparing standard steel with stainless steel - they may look similar but one is far better suited for heavy duty marine use! The majority of other "AGM" batteries have come from the telecommunications and UPS industries. Officially classed as VRLA (Valve Regulated Lead Acid) batteries, they are designed for Standby use. In a deep discharge marine environment, Lifeline is better suited with thick internal plates to cope. Marine environments are also full of vibration - standby cells are designed for static applications. Lifeline's internal cells are densely packed to resist damage from knocks and bangs. Lifeline's solid casing also protects the battery while the hard plastic casings of standby types are prone to shatter with heavy impact. This is why Lifeline is supplied with an un-rivalled 5 year warranty. |
